P Day today.... and I got to sleep a little bit! Even though I am still
super tired, it was so nice to finally sleep a little. This is the first
P Day in like two months that I have gotten to take a nap because we
are always so busy. And it was definitely needed! So here is a little
update of what happened last week :)
As
I said, Tuesday was the Multi Zone Conference up in Managua. And it was
awesome! But let me just tell ya all about this day. So as we had to do
with change meeting a few weeks ago, Elder Naisbitt and I had to go
down in a bus to pick every missionary up. First, we went down south to
Rivas, then back up north passing through to pick everybody up on the
way up to Managua. So.... we went to bed at about 11:30 on Monday night,
woke up at 2 on Tuesday morning and began the trip! That was a tough
morning.... but then we got to the Multi Zone and began the journey. The
focus this time was one commandment in specific.... The Sabbath Day! I
think that has been a focus in the whole church this year.. because it
needs to improve! Especially here in Nicaragua. It is bad news bears. We
talked a lot about how to help people get to church! It was great :)
Then Elder Naisbitt and I gave a little class to all the missionaries
about how to present the Book of Mormon to an investigator.... I hope
that we can all cherish this great book a little bit more in our lives!
That went well. At least President Russell liked it :) and then after...
we got to watch Meet the Mormons! That is such an awesome movie. Other
than seeing Salt Lake City and football which kind of hurts... it was
super cool, and it makes me super proud to be a Mormon! Then the Multi
Zone finished... at about 5:30. So the way the day started.. it had to
be finished. We took everybody back! At 8 we dropped everybody off in
Rivas, after dropping all the other missionaries off. So me, Naisbitt,
and the two guys that were driving the bus picked up a little Burger
King (we bought) and headed back up to Jinotepe! We got home right at
9:30. That was easily the longest, most tiring day of my entire life. I
was absolutely destroyed. But it was fun so life is all good :)
Wednesday
was normal, and Thursday I went down to Rivas to help out a little bit
with everything. Friday Elder Naisbitt and I had a meeting with
President Russell and the Stake Presidency from this Stake here. And
that was awesome too! President Russell is about the smartest guy I
know. The Stake Presidency is super
supportive of us too, so it was all fun. Saturday the person that was
supposed to get baptized didn't, we hope she does this week :) And here
we are!
Trek
is awesome, Molli turns 25 this week, Kelli leaves on a mission this
week, and the Gospel is still real :) Become! Something that I heard,
and something we can all apply... the rhythm is always determined by the
Leader. And we can all be leaders in our lives :) Love you all! Go
Pioneers!
Love
Elder Merrill
